David Douglas brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience to his position as the leader of the Patrol Division. He began his career at the Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) as a corrections officer in 1990. He has since served as patrol deputy, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Investigator, Assistant Jail Administrator, Jail Administrator and served in the Warrants Division. In addition to his broad experience, Capt. Douglas holds Georgia Peace Officer Advanced Certification and is a Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) Certified Instructor, Taser Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He graduated from Camden County High School in 1985 then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He has four children. In his spare time David enjoys hunting and fishing.
