The most familiar and visible of the CCSO divisions is the patrol division. These are the deputies that handle calls countywide around the clock. The patrol deputies serve innumerable functions including responding to traffic accidents, domestic disputes, providing citizen security, escorting funerals and a myriad of other tasks. They are the first line of defense and the first CCSO employee that most people encounter.
