Captain Harritte Sirmon began her law enforcement career in 1978. Since that time she has served as a patrol officer, patrol supervisor, investigator,  criminal investigations supervisor, dispatcher and the Camden County 911 Director. She is a Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC), Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certified Instructor and a POST Certified Dispatcher. In addition, Captain Sirmon is a Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) Instructor, a Hostage Negotiator and a Taser® Instructor. Captain Sirmon brings more than 30 years of service to the Sheriffs' Office.

Captain Sirmon currently serves as an investigator in cases of domestic violence and crimes against children. She has advanced training in sexual assault cases, as well as child abuse injury and fatality cases and is a certified Domestic Violence Trainer. Captain Sirmon is also assigned to manage the county’s Sex Offender Registry.

Harritte is a Camden County native and resides in the county with her husband. Law enforcement runs in the Sirmon family as her husband and several of her children have also served as law enforcement officers.
