Lt. Jerald Brannen began his law enforcement career in 2000 when he was hired as a Corrections Officer with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

In 2001 he attended basic mandate school and became a certified a peace officer. Lt. Brannen then transferred out of the Corrections Division and into the Patrol Division then on to the Investigations Division where he served as a Crime Scene Technician and the Evidence Technician.

While working as an investigator Lt. Brannen was selected as a fugitive task force member working with the U. S. Marshal’s Service. He now holds cross designation credentials with the Department of Homeland Security as a Customs Officer. Lt. Brannen is also a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain. He currently serves as the interim head of the CCSO Investigations Division.

In addition to his extensive law enforcement training Lt. Brannen also holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.
