WHAT WE DO:

The Sheriff’s Office Information Technology Division has three full time employees and one contracted employee. The IT team is responsible for technical and software operations, not only at the Sheriff’s Office, but three additional sites; the patrol building located on the Courthouse square in Woodbine, the Substation, located in St. Marys, and the Training facility located on Hwy 17. This includes all Patrol Vehicles cameras and mobile devices. The IT Division is also responsible for the surveillance cameras in the Juvenile Justice Building and the Courthouse.

One or more members of the IT Division are always on call, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The members of this Division have primary responsibilities, but truly act as team to keep the Sheriff’s Office up and running, this also includes the 911 Center, and hosting the virtual servers and data storage for all Public Safety Agencies in the County.

The Sheriff’s Office is powered by Tyler Technologies Public Safety Software. All public safety agencies in the County use the same integrated Public Safety Software System. The public safety software project was funded through a SPLOST initiative. The software is made up of several different modules. The modules include, but are not limited to: LERMS (law enforcement record management system), Corrections (Jail management system), CAD (computer aided dispatch), Mobile (mobile devices in patrol vehicles and applications on officers cell phones), Civil and Warrants (paper service). In addition to these law enforcement modules there is also EMS, Fire Records and Fire Mobile.
