INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION COMMANDER

CAPTAIN HARRITTE SIRMON

Captain Harritte Sirmon is in charge of operations at the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division, Drug Task Force, Sex Offender Registry, as well as School Resource Deputies. Captain Sirmon began her law enforcement career at the St. Marys Police Department in 1979 as a Basic Communications Officer. Captain Sirmon transferred over to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office in 1980 where she was a Communications Officer, in 1982 she was promoted to Deputy Sheriff, and in 1998 she achieved the ranking of Captain.  

 

Captain Sirmon is a Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) Certified Dispatcher, Georgia Certified Peace Officer, General Instructor, Taser Instructor, Field Training Officer, Senior Deputy, and is also a part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.  

 

Captain Sirmon has successfully completed over 3,000 training hours in her career in Law Enforcement, some highlights to include: Internet Crimes Against Children, Crisis Response Training, Hostage Negotiations, Domestic Violence Awareness, De-Escalation Techniques, Sex Offender Training, and Child Abuse & Child Fatality Investigations.  

 

Captain Sirmon is a native of Camden County, and in her off time she enjoys spending time with her family, turkey hunting, and rehabilitating wildlife.
