Moving Camden County with her military family in 1989, Debbie Gordon has grown up and established deep roots in Camden County. She began working in the hotel and hospitality industry in 1996 working her way through the many managerial positions including Office Manager, Comptroller, Sales Director, and Assistant General Manager to eventually the General Manager. Debbie earned recognition for several outstanding achievements including the Hospitality Pineapple Award for her personal contribution towards successful quality assurance inspections creating outstanding guest scores for her hotel.

After over 15 years of working in the hotel and office management fields, Debbie had the opportunity to join the Camden County Sheriff’s Office as the Finance Director in 2011. Over past few years, the Sheriff’s Office has grown and she has readily taken on many new duties including overseeing the fleet division, making her the Senior Director of Finance and Fleet Services. There has definitely been daily challenges but she has been able to use her knowledge and experience to rise to those challenges. Debbie played a lead role in the Sheriff’s Office charity program, STAR of HOPE, several years in a row providing Christmas presents for over 100 children annually. This program also raised enough money to provide those families with not only everything they needed for a traditional Christmas dinner, but there was also enough food to help provide meals for the entire family during the holiday break from school.

Currently, Debbie resides in Camden County with her hard working husband, and three children. In June of 2022, she welcomed her very first grandbaby to the family. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, camping, fishing and running her own business with her husband.
