Captain Chris Sears is the supervisor over the Special Operations Division The specialized units include the Emergency Response Team, Marine Unit, Search and Rescue, and Training of Employees. Each year Sheriff’s Office personnel must upgrade their training to meet the requirements of the agency, and the State of Georgia. Deputies are mandated to complete twenty hours of training annually to remain a certified Peace Officer. The Camden County Sheriff’s Office requires Deputies to maintain forty hours of training, twenty more than required by the Georgia State Peace Officers Standard and Training Council.
