Call for Service (CFS)

What is a Call for Service?
A call for service is anything that is put in the CAD system. CAD stands for Computer Aided Dispatch. A CFS can be Deputy (Officer) generated, such as a traffic stop or security check. A CFS can also be generated by a phone call to the E-911 Center. Some examples: 911 call where person is having a heart attack, non- emergency call requesting a Deputy for a standby during a child custody exchange.

The Calls for Service total represented here are the CFS’s for the Sheriff’s Office only. Keep in mind that other Agencies can be dispatched to the same call. For example, a wreck on the Interstate within the City limits of Kingsland would probably include a Sheriff’s Office Deputy, a Kingsland Police Officer, and possibly an apparatus from Kingsland Fire Department and a County Life Squad. The top 10 CFS’s by number are represented on the charts below.
